The question is, how fruitful will this relationship be?

Considering how much is in Obama's platter, I doubt that El Salvador will be a priority for him, the question is: will Obama truly take the opportunity that the Summit gave him to mend Latin American relationship, AND make a historic break-through with thawing things with Venezuela and Cuba?

Weird. And funny how Costa Rican president Arias, who won a Nobel for advancing peace in Central America, looks like he's shedding a tear of emotion. There, in the back.

awsome!!! who said fear?
remember how ridiculous arena and its politicians including president caca were before the elections? accusing funes and the fmln that they would destroy el salvador as we know it, that relations with the us would be destroyed, that chavez would take over and that armaggedon would take place if the fmln won? well, well, well...who's got the final laugh now?

Don't underestimate Obama. He's a guy who can handle a full platter of stuff, including understanding and appreciating the historic significance of El Salvador. I think he will appear relevant. But now with the U.S. easing its relationship with Cuba, it is El Salvador that is odd man out. As such, it will be El Salvador that will be playing catch up with the rest of Latin America?

With El salvador taking cues from the USA .

I would not be surprised if the new FMLN goverment decides to try and prosecute individuals for war crimes commited during the civil war.

Since it looks like OBAMA is out to get some of the policy maker responsible for giving the green light on interogation techniques .

Lets see what happens
